AVSI Foundation, an Italian NGO created in 1972, carries out cooperation projects for development, with particular emphasis on health and education. In its work, its attention is focused on the defence and promotion of the dignity of the person, the cornerstone of every project. AVSI works all around the world thanks to a network of 35 founding members and more than 700 partners.
AVSI Foundation supported iFishFarm with start-up capital and avails it with its wide network, generating from over 30 years in Uganda and specifically a successful ARVs distribution project in Bugala island.
The Kalangala District Forum of People living with HIV /AIDS Network (KAFOPHAN) It was started in the year 2003, and it is registered as an NGO by the National NGO board and it’s a member of National Forum of People living with HIV Networks in Uganda. KAFOPHAN coordinates small PLHIV Groups which are village based and do support in accelerating communities to response against HIV and human rights.
KAFOPHAN supports iFishFarm by participating in the recruitment of vulnerable women and youth, with the right attitude towards the business, and plays a crucial role in our unique model to reward co-workers with shares in the company.
